Jamie Lee Curtis's dad died

Hollywood legend Tony Curtis passed aside Thursday, his family members said. He was 85. Curtis featured in more than 140 big budget films and was nominated as for an Oscar for his role in 1958′s “The Defiant Ones” with Sidney Poitier, his standard website reports.
“My father leaves at the rear of a legacy of great shows in films and in his paintings and assemblages,” actress Jamie Lee Curtis said in an interview. “He leaves at the rear of children and their households who loved him and respected him along with a spouse and in-laws who were devoted to him. He also leaves at the rear of fans all more than the world. He will be greatly missed.”

“Tony even created it seem organic for any Norseman to have a new York accent in the Vikings (1958),” the Tony Curtis website says. “But it was in 1958 when Curtis and Sidney Poitier starred in Stanley Kramer’s social drama The Defiant kinds (1959) which earned each guys Academy Award nominations and was amid the most acclaimed and profitable films with the year.”
