Body Mass Index
Body Mass Index, (UKPA) – Heavier persons have a higher feeling of smell for food, experts have said.
Dr Lorenzo Stafford, of the university of Portsmouth’s division of Psychology, found that persons using a greater entire body mass index (BMI) had a poorer feeling of smell for non-food odours and higher sensitivity for the smell of food.
He also found that persons had a more powerful feeling of food smell after eating.
