Toyota Recall 2010
Toyota Recall 2010:Toyota has announced a voluntary recall on particular Toyota Avalon, Highlander and Lexus GS300, IS250 and IS350 vehicles. The recall affects more than 1.5 million cars worldwide, and is also due to a brand new problem found involving the cars braking system.
At the time of writing, no accidents have been reported, yet according to Toyota there are troubles using the car’s fuel pump wires and brake master cylinders. There are also concerns over leaked brake fluid from the master cylinders.
2005 – 2006 Toyota Avalon, 2004 – 2006 Toyota Highlander (non hybrid), 2004 – 2006 Lexus RX330, and 2006 Lexus GS300, IS250 and IS350 cars would be the cars that have been named in the recall.
In an official press release, Toyota writes that masters of the involved cars can be notified by first school mail beginning in earlier November. Toyota and Lexus dealers will replace the brake master cylinder cup with a newly developed one at no charge to car owners.
