Removal of Motrin was Misleading
Johnson & Johnson admitted on Thursday that it experienced misled the consumers and regulators of U.S as it removed its Motrin discomfort killer in the market. Now the consumer giant is facing a criminal probe and struggling to proceed beyond a damaging sequence of recalls which has pulled almost 200 million bottles of its medicine from shelves of U.S. this year, which included top-selling medicines of children.
Lawmakers accused the firm of placing income more than the welfare in the customers, and also the officials of Johnson & Johnson said, their McNeil unit should have adjusted shops and FDA to the recall of Motrin in 2009, instead of buying back again the stock through contractors posing as customers.
“I believe McNeil should have handled factors inside of a more straightforward manner,” stated Colleen Goggins, mind of J&J’s McNeil consumer unit.
