Lone Star Cancelled:The first casuality within the new fall primetime lineup was revealed on Tuesday, and also the news was not excellent for fans within the critically-hailed, but lowly-rated con sequence Lone Star.
Lone Star has been cancelled, efficient right away — and just two episodes in to the show!
The FOX drama has the dubious distinction of becoming the first show within the new period to be axed, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.
(Last year, it was The CW’s Ashton Kutcher-produced fashion-themed sequence A wonderful lifestyle that was the first show axed through the proverbial gullotine.)
Despite earning acclaim from critics, the sequence about Robert/Bob Allen (newcomer James Wolk) — a charismatic and brilliant Texas con guy juggling double day-to-day lives — averaged a humiliating 4.1 million viewers during last week’s sequence premiere. right after ratings dipped to just 3.2 million for Monday’s sophomore outing, FOX made the decision to pull the plug, pronto.
Lone Star would be replaced with episodes within the procedural crime drama Lie to Me, which was because of return on Wednesdays in November.
