San Diego traffic goes haywire due to an accident
Interstate 15 South in Mira Mesa of San Diego was shut straight down for a few hours yesterday on account of an accident. A tractor-trailer strike the framework of the bridge below construction. The bridge was being constructed more than the freeway and also the collision left some metallic beams hanging throughout the lanes.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident took location at close to 1.30pm on Carroll Canyon Road. Luckily no one was injured inside the accident.
The truck that was carrying an oversized fill crashed in to a temporary bridge framework erected to add lanes for carpools travelling interstate. The crash dislodged the steel I beam and also the beam was left protruding more than the lane.
As the passage was blocked, visitors was diverted in the freeway for the southern end of the bridge. This created a chaos and there was a visitors congestion way into the north.
It is anticipated the repairs would final for prolonged but luckily the southbound lanes were opened at 3.30 p
