Fighting Gravity;America's Got Talent' recap: Jackie Evancho, Fighting Gravity, Jersey's Michael Grasso battle for Top 10
Sept 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was an important Tuesday night for Fighting Gravity as they competed for the finals against some really tough competitors in ‘America’s Got Talent’. Considering that the dance troupe was one of the top contenders for the title ever since their first performance, the semifinal performance received equal appreciation from the judges and the audience. They performed a skateboard based routine on Tuesday which was as exciting as their first performance and the judges were seen bowled over again by the gravity defying dance moves.
The fraternity guys from Virginia Tech who form Fighting Gravity said before the performance that they were getting used to performing on the big stage. Brett Sposo, who is one of the performers who is hidden from view, explained that he does not see anything while performing but at the end of the performance he finds the entire audience on its feet. Another member, Greg Kurtin said that they wanted to bring in more color and props for Tuesday night’s performance and wanted to keep it fresh and exciting.
On Tuesday night, the stunning performance won the audience and the judges and Piers Morgan even described it as ‘original’ and ‘fresh’. The group has also been a hit on YouTube with as many as 2 million hits since its performance on the ‘America’s Got Talent’. AGT judge Howie Mandel had commented on the show that he had not seen as anything exciting since the Blue Man Group. Another astounding performance on Tuesday came from the 10 year old opera singer Jackie Evancho.
