Matt Leinart; Can Matt Leinart be a starting QB?

If you believe the reports, the Arizona Cardinals not only don't want Matt Leinart to start for them, they don't want him around period.

Jay Glazer of Fox says several teams said they have gotten calls and emails about the former first-round pick.

The Huddle: Leinart believes he has "outplayed" the competition

The Cardinals know that Kurt Warner is not going to walk through that door. His life now is all about the dance. He tutored Leinart but the team now is leaning toward Derek Anderson.

"The philosophy is you want the best 11 guys to play," said Leinart. "I feel like I've proved that with my performance. I don't really know what else I could possibly do, so it probably goes beyond football. For me, I just really want an explanation and I haven't been given one."

Obviously coach Ken Whisenhunt does not agree and claims it is business not personal.

"I've been with Matt for four years now, I have great respect for how Matt's worked," Whisenhunt said. "I think what we've been consistent with is … always trying to pick the best team. That's what this process is about. It's not about whether you like somebody or don't like somebody."

If Leinart goes up on the blocks do you think he can be a successful NFL starter?
