Samford University basketball team announced
2010-11 schedule was officially released by The Samford University basketball team on Wednesday by Head Coach Jimmy Tillette. The upcoming season of the Bulldogs feature a challenging slate of games. The important one will be the December 22 contest at Creighton and also the participation in a three-day tournament that will be held between November 19-21 at Auburn.
Auburn and Samford will square off at 7 p.m. in the opening day of the 2010 Global Sports Hoops Showcase for the first time in 46 years. The show is being hosted by Auburn University.
The two rivals met each other last time on December 3, 1964 and the Tigers posted a 102-44 victory in Auburn. Samford trails by a count of 2-23 in the all-time series.
This time Campbell and Middle Tennessee are also participating. The Bulldogs will be facing Middle Tennessee on November 20 at 2 p.m.. The next day it will face Campbell at 2 p.m.
Samford will be hosting Lindsey Wislon ahead of early-season tournament at Auburn in an exhibition match on November 8.
