San Bruno:Large Explosion Rocks San Bruno:San Bruno is a city in San Mateo County, California, United States. The population was 40,165 at the 2000 census.The massive ball of fire and plumes of smoke were visible for miles after the explosion, San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Members of the San Mateo County sheriff’s office and police are evacuating residents near the fire, while firefighters went door to door, asking people to move from their homes and to develop equipment for the battle of fire, the report said.
It is unclear at this stage, causing an explosion occurred about 6:00 pm local time. Local authorities are investigating whether the utility source of the explosion was a big pipeline, AFP separately.
According to the report of the Chronicle, more than a dozen homes burned in the fire, which is free to jump from building to building, with 1 person taken to hospital.
