The West Memphis 3 is a term referred to 3 men who have been convicted of three murders in West Memphis. The murders were attempted in 1993 and they were of Steve Branch, Michael Moore and Christopher Byers.
These were 8 years old when murdered. The alleged murderers were teenagers at that time and they are Jessie Misskelley Jr., Damien Echols and Jason Baldwin. These three have served 18 years in prison already but they haven’t given up in their fight to prove their innocence. They have tried for 18 years to be heard and to be served justice.

Jessie Misskelley Jr. and Jason Baldwin are currently serving life sentences and Damien Echols is on death row. Echols is really positive about the whole situation and he even says that something good will come out of this whole thing so he is holding on to faith. He would be appealing for trial in the end of September and exactly one month before his trial a concert is being held by great names in the music and entertainment industries like Johnny Depp and Eddie Vedder. Apart from them there are going to be many more stars from Hollywood and the music world that support the innocence of the three jailed men.

The concert was arranged to gather support for the West Memphis 3 and to collect money for the legal fees. The father of Jessie Misskelley Jr. said that he feels really good that people who don’t know him that well are also stepping up for his innocence.
