Carrie Underwood Panic Attacks
Singer Carrie Underwood has opened up about her problem with panic attacks in an interview with medical website WebMD. This is a condition that makes you lose control in crowded places and is suffered by other celebrities such as Kim Bassinger and Paula Dean. The 27-year-old country singer revealed that she had been suffering from these attacks since she was in high school, and said that one of the worst case scenarios for her would be a packed shopping mall, like they are during Christmas season. Elevators also seem to be pretty scary for Underwood because of panic attacks. She described the following episode: “Every floor we stopped on, we’d cram more people in, and by the time we were done, there was just a ton of people,” said Underwood. “So I start thinking about all the bad things that can happen, and I’m like, ‘I’ve got to get off the elevator, I need to get off the elevator.’” She laughs. “I was just like, ‘No more stops, please, no more stops!’” Underwood also admitted being pretty big on personal space, and she feels very uncomfortable when someone invades it, which may happen often if you are a celebrity.
