Erica Blasberg Death Ruled Suicide
Four months after it happened, the death of LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg has been ruled a suicide. According to the coroner’s office of Clark County, Nevada, Blasberg died of asphyxia, and in her body were found toxic levels of prescription medications of different kinds. “While asphyxia was the primary cause of death, the presence of prescription drugs in Ms. Blasberg’s system was a significant factor,” Coroner Michael Murphy said. Among the drugs found in Blasberg were tramadol, hydrocodone, butalbital, temazepam, alprazolam and codeine. An arrest warrant has been issued today against Dr. Thomas Hess on misdemeanor obstruction of justice charges. Police believes Hess removed items from the death scene before investigators arrived. As a matter of fact he was the one who called the police but wasn’t present when they arrived. Hess admitted altering the scene taking away a suicide note and prescription medications.
