The Tibetan Mastiff Dog Breed Fascinates China Millionaires

The symbols of power and wealth are different in every culture and sub-culture. In China, they have taken the form of Tibetan Mastiffs a cute dog breed that holds a reputation of being a holy animal that provides blessings and security for the home.



Since they are dogs sought after by people of power and wealth, their prices have skyrocketed and purebred dogs can cost up to $600,000! The couple that bought the dog at such price , called Yangtze River 2, lives in X’ian and escorted the puppy on his way home with a fleet of Rolls Royces!

Having dogs in China is also more difficult, with licenses costing over $100 and slow processes to obtain it. Dogs must have their own ID cards after the license.
