Firestick Plant Accident Injures Rick Warren’s Eye!
Popular preacher and author Rick Warren today suffered a severe eye injury after an accident with a fire pole plant. Through his Twitter account he spoke about the accident and the pain "unbearable" suffering.
The fire pole plant is also known as Euphorbia triucalli. On contact with eyes, this plant can cause temporary blindness and irritation of the skin.
Luckily for Warren, recover from these effects, and in his last tweet, has told his followers that is not blind:
"A doctor put contacts in my corneas protection as bandages for healing. I'm not blind. Thank you."
Warren was taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, accoridng their reintegration, is expected to recover 100%.
