Winn Dixie Closing 30 stores throughout the United Stated
Winn Dixie has announced the company will close 30 of its stores in the U.S., including four located in Broward County, Miami and two in Mississippi. The reason for the closures is that these stores are not satisfied.
The closing of Winn Dixie also lead to more unemployed 120 hectares. The company said the stores were under performance due to the "difficult economic environment and retail."
"I just do not see a lot of good things in the way," said Chief Executive Peter Lynch "These measures are being taken to position the company for one year more challenging." He added that the company will be creating some new positions and the unemployed former employees may apply for jobs.
The company expects to save between $ 12 to $ 17 million annually after this movement, from the first quarter.
